Darilyn Castillo, who studied voice with me through high school, was recently cast as Peggy/Maria in Hamilton! The company is playing Puerto Rico for two weeks with Lin-Manuel Miranda, reprising his role as Hamilton, before taking the show to San Francisco for an extended run! Darilyn told me that it would mean a lot to her to have me come to see her at this defining moment in her career and so, of course, I went!
