Opportunities To Perform
Singing at lessons is only part of the process of becoming a dynamic performer. Once students have prepared and rehearsed their songs and been coached on acting the song and communicating the meaning, they need the opportunity to gain experience in front of a live audience. Bette's students have that chance at least five times a year.
Each December, the Rockland County Music Teachers Guild hosts a Music Marathon weekend to raise money for a charity. As part of this fundraiser, Bette's students perform at The Palisades Center Mall. Each singer has the fun and excitement of singing for family and friends as well as the hundreds of shoppers strolling by. And, they have the satisfaction of using their talents and energy to help others, not to mention getting great videos to show their friends on Facebook!
In addition, four times a year, students sing a solo at a local restaurant, The Water Wheel, in Tallman, NY. The owners, Val and Joe have been welcoming the singers for over twelve years. Families and friends come out, share dinner and watch their loved one shine! And get better and better and better...

I started going to Bette when I was 8 yrs old. And she really helped me strengthen and get great control of my voice. I also got to perform every single month which helped a lot. Throughout the years I always go back to Bette to get help when I need it.
